Chandigarh, September 30, 2026: Home Secretary, U.T. Chandigarh, Shri Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, today chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming 118th Mayor’s Conference, scheduled to be held from October 4 to 6, 2026, at Hotel Mount View, Sector 10, Chandigarh.

The meeting was attended by Mayor of Chandigarh Shri Saurabh Joshi; Deputy Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh, Shri Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS; Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, Shri Amit Kumar, IAS; Inspector General of Police Shri Pushpendra Kumar, IPS; SSP, Chandigarh, Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS; and other senior officials of the Chandigarh Administration, Municipal Corporation and Chandigarh Police.

The meeting reviewed the programme schedule and arrangements for the visiting Mayors and delegates. The conference will begin with the arrival of guests on October 4, followed by the inaugural session on October 5. The programme will also include a meeting of the Council and visits showcasing the best practices of the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. The closing session is scheduled for October 6.

Shri Brar directed the concerned departments to carry out their assigned roles and responsibilities and ensure close coordination for the smooth conduct of the conference.
