Chandigarh, September 13:- Continuing its sustained action against illegal vending and encroachments, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh conducted a special early-morning enforcement drive from 8 am today at several key locations across the city.
The drive covered Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden, PGI Gate, Bird Park, Sectors 15, 41, 27, 18, Sector-22 Mobile Market and the area near Kiran Cinema. During the operation, 87 illegal vendors were removed from the identified locations, while 93 challans were issued to violators for violations of the prescribed norms.
The enforcement teams carried out the drive in a peaceful and systematic manner, clearing unauthorised vending and restoring public spaces for the convenience of residents and visitors.
