Chandigarh, 2 September: Personality Development Cell and Equal Opportunity Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women organised an interactive session on “Personality Traits for a Successful Entrepreneurial Journey” to inspire students to recognise their strengths and cultivate qualities essential for entrepreneurial success.
Ms. Sakshi Katyal, Chairperson, CII-IWN (Confederation of Indian Industry-Indian Women Network), Chandigarh Tricity Chapter, and Founder and Owner of Jade Xclusive, was the resource person.
Drawing upon her professional journey and industry experience, Ms. Katyal highlighted the significance of confidence, resilience, adaptability, leadership and a positive mindset in navigating challenges and building successful ventures. She encouraged students to consider self-employment and business ownership as viable and rewarding career avenues, while emphasising the importance of networking, nurturing professional relationships and continuously upgrading knowledge and skills in today’s competitive business environment.
The session featured an engaging interaction, with students enthusiastically raising queries on various aspects of entrepreneurship. Ms. Katyal addressed their questions through practical insights and real-world examples, making the session both informative and relatable.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the efforts of both cells in organising the session and providing students with meaningful learning experiences beyond the prescribed curriculum. She emphasised the institution’s commitment to equipping students with the confidence, competence, efficiency and resourcefulness required to excel in their chosen fields.
