Jalandhar, 26.08.26-; Thousands of students from across India and several countries began one of the most significant chapters of their lives as Lovely Professional University (LPU) welcomed its incoming batch through Freshman Induction 2026. The campus came alive with a series of leadership interactions, industry sessions, cultural performances, celebrity appearances, and student engagement activities, giving freshers their first taste of university life.

Alongside students, parents also participated in interactive sessions with university leadership and faculty members, receiving firsthand insights into LPU's academic ecosystem, student support initiatives, and the opportunities available throughout the academic journey. The induction created a vibrant atmosphere where freshers connected with peers, explored campus life, and stepped into their new beginning with confidence and excitement.

Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro Chancellor of LPU, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor of LPU, and Dr. Loviraj Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor of LPU, engaged with students and their parents through open interactions that brought conversations beyond the stage. They answered questions, listened to aspirations, and discussed the opportunities awaiting freshers on campus, while parents gained reassurance as they witnessed their children begin a new chapter with confidence.

In the "Get Inspired Meet Industry Stalwarts" series, students gained first hand insights into leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and future ready careers. The sessions featured Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Pathania, VP HR & Country Manager, Basware, Mr. Praveen Pantula, Director Talent Acquisition, EPAM Systems, Mr. Tarik Deep Singh, Vice President Technology, Infinite Computer Solutions, Mr. Kulbir Singh, Founder & CEO, Rexpt; Mr. Bhavdeep Sardana, Senior Vice President & CEO, Sukhjit Starch & Chemicals Limited, Mr. Prem Ojha, telecom industry leader, Dr. Kamaljeet Singh, Director General, Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Mohali, Mr. Gaurav Khanna, Associate General Counsel, Nestlé India, Mr. Ritesh Mishra, Cluster Director HR, Hilton, and Padma Shri Sh. Onkar Singh Pahwa, Chairman & Managing Director, Avon Cycles Group. Through engaging conversations and interactive Q&A sessions, students explored career pathways, asked industry leaders questions directly, and received practical advice on navigating the rapidly evolving professional world.

Beyond the sessions, the induction featured a celebration of music and entertainment, with Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Karan Deol, Jasmin Bhasin, Gulab Sidhu, Happy Raikoti, and the cast of Juda joining the festivities. LPU alumnus Rahgir returned for a soulful homecoming concert, while the ANHADNAAD Healing India Tour, DJ performances, and evening concerts added to the vibrant on campus atmosphere.

Students also discovered the vibrant ecosystem that defines life beyond academics at LPU. The university introduced freshers to its extensive network of student clubs, organisations, and leadership platforms, including NCC, NSS, entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives, cultural societies, technical clubs, and departmental communities. Interactive activity zones, games, creative installations, engagement booths, and food experiences encouraged students to meet peers from diverse backgrounds, build friendships, and find communities that matched their interests from the very beginning.
