Chandigarh, July 19:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today conducted an early morning enforcement drive against illegal ice cream vendors operating in Sector 20.

During the drive, the Enforcement Branch impounded a total of 53 illegal rehri (handcarts) found violating the prescribed norms and occupying public spaces without authorization. The action was taken to ensure smooth movement of pedestrians and vehicles, maintain public order, and prevent unauthorized vending.

To promote transparency and accountability during enforcement operations, the entire drive was carried out using body-worn cameras by the enforcement staff. The use of body cameras helped ensure that the operation was conducted in a fair, transparent, and professional manner.
