Chandigarh, May 20:- Promoting the message of environmental sustainability, fitness and eco-friendly commuting, officers and officials of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh enthusiastically used bicycles to attend their offices on Wednesday.
The initiative witnessed active participation from senior officers, employees and field staff of various departments, who opted for cycling as a healthy and pollution-free mode of transport. The campaign aimed at encouraging reduction in carbon emissions, conserving fuel and spreading awareness regarding sustainable urban mobility among residents.
MC officials stated that such initiatives not only contribute towards a cleaner and greener city but also inspire citizens to adopt healthier lifestyles. Employees appreciated the move and expressed their commitment towards supporting environment-friendly practices in day-to-day life.
