CHANDIGARH, 19.03.26-Department of Transfusion Medicine and Thalassaemic Charitable Trust (TCT) PGIMER Chandigarh organised its 330th Blood Donation Camp on 19.03.2026 in coordination with Rotaract Club of Legis Social to ensure the smooth supply of blood for their thalassaemic patients and other needy patients. Hon’ble 40 Blood Donors donated blood in this camp. Blood donors were honoured with certificates, badges, and tokens of appreciation in recognition of their noble contribution. TCT ensured comprehensive arrangements for blood donor comfort and also set up a dedicated Thalassemia Awareness Desk to educate participants about the condition and the importance of regular voluntary blood donation.

On the occasion, intern doctors from the College of Oral Health Sciences, Panjab University, actively participated and interacted with Sh. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary, to gain detailed insights into thalassemia.

The urgent need for regular voluntary blood donation was highlighted, with an appeal to the public to come forward and help save lives dependent on timely blood support.

Prof. (Dr.) R.R. Sharma, Head, Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine, and Shri Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary of the Trust, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the voluntary blood donors. They also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the teams from Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine and TCT team for ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of this camp.
