CHANDIGARH, DECEMBER 24: The Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, today extended warm and heartfelt greetings to the people of Punjab and Chandigarh on the joyous occasion of Christmas, commemorating the birth of Lord Jesus Christ.
In his message on the eve of Christmas, the Governor said that India, with its rich diversity of languages, cultures and faiths, has always shown the world the true meaning of peaceful coexistence and harmony. He emphasized that such occasions strengthen the bonds of unity, mutual respect and shared humanity.
Shri Kataria further said, “On this sacred occasion, let us rededicate ourselves to imbibing the timeless teachings of Lord Jesus Christ, which inspire selfless service, compassion and love for all. Lord Jesus showed humanity the path of a noble, virtuous and altruistic life.”
He added that the true spirit of Christmas lies in sharing, caring and brotherhood, and these values should guide our thoughts and actions in everyday life. “May the spirit of caring and sharing pervade our hearts and minds. Let us continue to strive tirelessly for peace on earth and goodwill among all,” the Governor said, while wishing everyone a happy and blessed Christmas.
