Chandigarh, November 27:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today conducted a anti-encroachment drive in Manimajra, Sector 13, as part of its continuous efforts to maintain public order and ensure encroachment-free markets and residential areas.
During the drive, enforcement teams removed several temporary encroachments including illegal extensions, roadside occupations, and obstructions placed on public pathways.
A total of 36 challans were issued to violators found indulging in unauthorized use of public land. The drive aimed at restoring smooth pedestrian movement, improving market accessibility, and preventing inconvenience caused to residents and commuters.
The Municipal Corporation has issued a stern warning to all violators and unauthorized vendors to refrain from occupying public spaces illegally. It has been clearly stated that repeated violations will attract strict legal action under the provisions of law.
