One arrested under excise act
A case FIR No. 216 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at police station 31 on the complaint of ASI Avtar Singh. On 15.11.2025 at 9:05 PM, Birjesh @ Tota (26) was arrested near Toba, Village Behlana, and 24 half bottles + 26 quarters of Royal General Whisky were recovered. The accused is in police lock-up. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Assault
A case FIR No. 114 U/S 118(1), 351(3), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 26, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Darshan Lal. The complainant stated that on 14.11.2025 at about 10:30 PM, he was present near Block No. 720, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh, when Dhruv S/o Baljit @ Chitta and Aman allegedly attacked him and his daughter with a knife. Both victims sustained injuries. Darshan Lal was shifted to GMSH-16, where he is undergoing treatment. Investigation of this case is in progress
A case FIR No. 215 has been registered at Police Station Sector 31 on the complaint of Amit Kumar, who alleged that Parminder S/o Sunder, R/o #306, Phase-1, Ram Darbar, attacked him with a knife-like weapon near Chauhan Grocery Store on 14.11.2025 at about 9:30 PM. The accused stabbed him on the left waist, causing bleeding. Parminder also threatened to kill him. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
Unlawful assembly
A case FIR No. 176 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 11 on the complaint of ASI Jatinder Singh. As per the complaint, on 15.11.2025, Ashwani Kumar, ex-employee of PGI, and others gathered near the SBI Bank, PGI, Sector 12, and staged a protest against the PGI administration regarding their demands without permission. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 158 U/S 318(4), 61(2) BNS & 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 17 on the complaint of Gurpreet Singh. The complainant alleged that Deepak Sharma and others of M/s Shree Ram Oversees, SCO 76–79, Sector 17, cheated him of ₹63,40,225 on the pretext of arranging a visa. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 116 U/S 306, 318(4) BNS has been registered at Police Station 26 on complaint of Surinder Kaur, alleging that her maid Sumandeep Kaur cheated her of ₹10,00,000. Investigation of this case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 117 U/S 316(2), 318(4) BNS & 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station 26 on complaint of Narinder Singh, alleging that Dayalinder Singh Gill of Gilzeran RD OPC, cheated him of ₹7,35,000 on the pretext of providing a visa. Investigation of this case is in progress
A case FIR No. 118 U/S 316(2), 318(4), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station 26 on complaint of Pankaj Khatana, alleging that Krishan Singh, Vikram Singh and others cheated him of ₹20,00,000 in a property deal. Investigation of this case is in progress
A case FIR No. 228 has been registered at police station 36 on complaint of Amandeep Singh, alleging that Mandeep (45), R/o SCO-295, Sector 35, cheated him of ₹8 lakh regarding purchase of products.
A Zero FIR has been registered at police station 49 on complaint of Raj Kumar Malik, alleging that Taranjit Kaur and Poonam Tomar Panwar cheated him of ₹1 lakh on the pretext of admission and clearing examination.
A case FIR No. 137 U/S 420, 120B IPC has been registered at police station Maloya on the complaint of Malkeet Singh, alleging that Balwinder Singh cheated him of ₹2 lakh on the pretext of selling a plot. Investigation is ongoing.
Accident
A case FIR No. 159 U/S 281, 106 BNS has been registered at Police Station 17 on the complaint of Mani Kumar. He reported that on 15.11.2025 at about 9:32 AM, an unknown vehicle hit the electric scooty Sunanda being driven by his brother Gaurav Kumar, near ISBT-17, Chandigarh, and sped away. Gaurav sustained serious injuries, was admitted to GH-16, and later succumbed under treatment. Investigation of this case is in progress.
