One arrested under excise act
A case FIR No. 169 U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 11, Chandigarh, on the complaint of HC Dinesh Kumar. The complainant reported that on 07.11.2025 at about 2:30 PM, he apprehended Chinu W/o Bablu, R/o #2532, Sector 25-C, Chandigarh, aged 42 years, from near Community Centre, Sector 25-C, Chandigarh. Upon search, 47 quarters of Desi Sharab (Marka Santra) of 180 ml each were recovered from her possession. The accused was arrested on the spot and later released on bail as per procedure.
One arrested under NDPS act
A case FIR No. 111 U/S 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran Chandigarh, on the complaint of SI Mahesh Kumar (1830/CHG). The complainant reported that on 07.11.2025 at about 7:15 AM, during patrolling near Kalagram, the police apprehended Ajay S/o Ram, R/o #3/2085, Trilokpuri, East Delhi, aged 36 years. Upon search, 6.12 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot and is presently in police lock-up.
One arrested under arms act
A case FIR No. 175 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 34, Chandigarh, on the complaint of HC Hansdeep (1040/CP). The complainant reported that on 07.11.2025 at about 6:10 PM, Ravi S/o Hori Lal, R/o #100, Village Burail, Chandigarh, was apprehended from near Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Village Burail, Chandigarh. Upon search, one Kamanidaar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot and is currently in police lock-up.
A case FIR No. 110 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 26, Chandigarh, on the complaint of HC Amit Kumar (1893/CHG). The complainant reported that on 07.11.2025, Meerpal @ Chheapu S/o Vedpal, R/o #1988, BDC, Sector 26, Chandigarh, aged 32 years, was apprehended near Market, Sector 26, Chandigarh. Upon search, one Kamanidaar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot and is presently in police lock-up.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 170 U/S 318B(4), 223 BNS & Section 24 of the Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector 17, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Prafula Jena. The complainant alleged that Shambhu Markam and Sanjeet cheated him in connection with immigration consultancy services on 03.11.2025. Upon the complaint, a preliminary inquiry revealed cheating and violation of immigration norms.
Theft
A case FIR No. 83 U/S 303(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 03, Chandigarh, on the complaint of Gulshan Singh. The complainant stated that on 05.11.2025 at about 2:30 PM, while he was near Gurudwara, Sector 8-C, Chandigarh, two unknown ladies snatched his purse and fled away. The stolen items included One gold chain, One locket, One pair of earrings, Cash ₹40,000. The complainant tried to chase the women but they escaped. No arrest has been made so far.
