SHIMLA-7^th May, 2024-Spokesperson of Election Department said here today that notifications for ensuing Lok Sabha General Elections and 6 Assembly Constituency (AC) bye-elections in Himachal Pradesh have been issued by the respective Returning Officers on 7th May 2024 as per the schedule announced by Election Commission of India. As per the notification, nominations can be filed from 7th May to 14th May from 11 AM to 3 PM every day at the designated locations and before the designated ROs/AROs as mentioned in the notification. Dates and timings for scrutiny and withdrawal have also been given. As per notification for 4 Parliamentary constituencies viz, 1-Kangra, 2-Mandi, 3-Hamirpur, 4-Shimla (SC) and 6 Assembly constituencies where bye-elections are to be held, voting will be held on 01^st June 2024 (Saturday) from 07:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

He said that nominations will not be filed on 11^th and 12^th May, 2024 being public holidays.
