Sector-26, Chandigarh (Age 25 years), while he was consuming liquor at a public place and creating nuisance near Wine Shop, grain MKT., Sector-26, Chandigarh on 26.04.2024. A case FIR No. 42, U/s 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 34, U/S 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-Cyber Crime, Chandigarh on the complaint of Dr. Parkash Narayan Gupta R/o # 1359, Sector-40/B, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who cheated the complainant of Rs. 1,48,750/- through online transaction in the name of medical check-up on 26.04.2024. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 28, U/S 279, 427 IPC & 185 MV ACT has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Vol. Krishan Kumar 1077/CHG, PS-19 who alleged that Adeshveer Singh R/o # 1671, Sector-33/B, Chandigarh driver of Jeep Rubicon No. CHF-0677 who hit and damaged Sector- 18/19/20/21 chock Chandigarh on 25/26.04.2024. Accused arrest and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 41, U/S 279, 304-A IPC ACT has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of Amit Kumar R/o # 2471, Sector-28, Chandigarh who alleged that Sonu R/o # 111, Sector-28-A, Chandigarh (age-25 years) driver Ertiga No.CH-02AA-1042 who hit to pedestrian namely Rajeev Kumar R/o # 2471, Sector-28, Chandigarh (age-45 years) near ITI, Sector-28, Chandigarh on 25.04.2024. Vicitim got injured and declared brought dead by duty doctor at GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Accused arrest and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Snatching

Durgesh Kumar R/o # 280, kachi colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh reported that unknown M/cyclist who snatch away complaint‘s mobile phone near Sector-27/28/29/30 chowk, Chandigarh on 26.04.2024. A case FIR No. 43, U/S 379-A IPC has been registered in PS-Ind. Area, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A lady R/o Sector-46/A, Chandigarh reported that two unknown M/cyclist who snatch away complaint‘s Gold chain, near # 509, Sector-46/A, Chandigarh on 26.04.2024. A case FIR No. 57, U/S 379-A, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

Manoj Kumar R/o # 105, pipki wala town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person who stolen away 4 tyres of grand Vitara No.CH-01CS-0429 was parked infront of complaint‘s house on 23/24-04-2024. A case FIR No. 52, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Mani Majra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 73, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Bashant Kumar Yadav R/o # 70, Sector-56, Chandigarh who reported that unknown person who stole away Gas Cylinder and two speakers from his house house on 22-04-2024. Investigation of the case is in progress.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

CHANDIGARH,28.04.2024 Keeping in view of the Birth Anniversary of the Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh DFC, the Air Warrior Drill Team and Air Force Band is conducting their display on 28 April 2024 (Sunday) at 06.00 PM onwards at Plaza, Sector 17, Chandigarh. The general public is appealed to adopt the following measures:-

1. The parking lot opposite Empire Store Sector 17, Chandigarh is for invitees having Red Colour parking sticker issued by Air Force Authorities.

2. The Top Surface of Multi Level Parking Sector 17, Chandigarh is for invitees having Green Colour parking sticker issued by Air Force Authorities.

3. The General Public is advised those who are not having Red & Green Colour parking sticker, they can use following other parking areas of Sec 17, Chandigarh i.e.:- ▪ Circus ground open area. ▪ Parking in front and back of MC Building Sec 17, Chandigarh. ▪ Ground near RBI Office. ▪ Back side of showrooms alongwith Neelam Cinema. ▪ Parking of Bank square Sector 17. ▪ Parking adjoining 33 KV station and other parking areas of Sector 17, Chandigarh.

4. The General Public is advised to park their vehicles efficiently at the designated parking lots only.

5. It is being advised not to park/ ply their vehicles on cycle track/ pedestrian pathway and no parking area, otherwise strict action shall be taken as per law and vehicles shall be towed away.

6. In case vehicle is towed away/ clamped, please contact Traffic Help Line No. 1073.

7. Car pooling and public transport may be considered in view of the heavy footfall of vehicles. Further, invitees are requested to park their vehicles in the designated parking lots marked as Red & Green in the annexed map. As per the traffic flow situation, the traffic can be diverted from the lyons light point Sector 17, Chandigarh. Chandigarh Traffic Police appeals to the general public to cooperate with the Police and any inconvenience caused on account of these restrictions/ diversions is deeply regretted.

A “Samvedna Camp" an 'Integrated Grievances Redressal mechanism' was organized at all police stations/units and Traffic Lines Sector-29, Chandigarh to check the status of their cases, complaints and traffic challans from 10 AM to 2 PM.

CHANDIGARH,27.04.24-Today, a “Samvedna Camp" an 'Integrated Grievances Redressal mechanism' was organized at all police stations/units and Traffic Lines Sector-29, Chandigarh to check the status of their cases, complaints and traffic challans from 10 AM to 2 PM. The objective of these schemes is to provide easily accessible and speedy machinery for the redressal of grievances of general public as well as to bring transparency and accountability in police functioning. Implementation of these directives on a sustained basis would go a long way in creating confidence in public. During the campaign, total 370 persons visited the Police Stations and units and Traffic Lines, under Samvedna Camp. Total 492 complaints were disposed off during Public Grievances Redressal Camp. The SDPO’s and concerned DSP’s personally supervised the campaign. SDPOs of each sub-division also reviewed the process personally by spending adequate time at police stations of their sub-division. The facts of complaints were discussed with complainants. During the meeting a healthy interaction was made between police and public. During the camp problems/issues were discussed and instructions/directions regarding these have been issued to concerned Police officials/Beat staff to comply with accordingly. The Samvedna Camp was started on 15.04.2023 to dispose of the complaints and the redressal grievances of general public.

Ketan Bansal, IPS, SP/Crime & HQ, under supervision of DSP Crime Sh. Udaypal Singh, a team of Crime Branch lead by Inspector Ashok Kumar arrested one snatcher namely Mohammad Imran involved in mobile snatching case. Brief Fact:- A case FIR No. 12 dated 12.03.2024 U/S 379A IPC, PS-IT Park, Chandigarh was registered on the complaint of Smt. Chanchal Rani W/o Late Sh. Rajkumar R/o # 2269/2, Pipli wala town Manimajra, UT, Chandigarh wherein she alleged that on 19/20.9.2023, at about 07:30 PM when she was on evening walk in front of Ram Nursery, near Shastri Nagar Light Point, one boy came from the hedges of the jungle area and snatched her mobile Phone make Vivo1820, black/blue colour, 3 ATM cards kept in the cover of Mobile Phone. Apprehension of accused A secret information received that one boy involved in snatching of mobile is roaming in the area of Manimajra, Chandigarh. The police party alongwith with complainant nabbed the accused from backside Shitla Mata Temple, Manimajra, Chandigarh and snatched mobile phone recovered from his possession. Snatcher and recovered mobile phone were identified by the complainant on the spot. Profile of accused:- 1. Mohammad Imran s/o Sh. Abdul Latif R/o # 381, Shastri Nagar Manimajra, Chandigarh, Age-30 years. Accused Mohammad Imran was produced before the Hon’ble District Court and send to judicial custody.
