Chandigarh, 27 April 2024 – The Interact Club organised a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ in collaboration with PGI. This life-saving mission was planned on the first Parent Teacher Meeting of the session. The enthusiastic teachers and parents came forward in great numbers to donate blood and to make this noble cause a success.

A team of doctors from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) played a pivotal role in coordinating the blood donation camp. They provided essential information about the donation process and emphasized its significance in saving lives. The event successfully collected approx. 43 units of bloods, thanks to the generous contribution of the donors. This annual blood donation initiative is a part of Bhavan’s commitment aimed at supporting the community.

The event was inaugurated by the Director Education cum Senior Principal Mrs. Vineeta Arora. The occasion was also graced by Vice-Principal Mrs. Suparna Bansal and other dignitaries. The parents and teachers enthusiastically supported the event and commended the interactors for their unwavering commitment to support the social cause.

Sr. Principal Mrs. Vineeta Arora appreciated the effort of the young interactors in ensuring a regular supply of blood for patients suffering from thalassemia and other medical conditions. Bhavan continues to conduct blood donation camps every year.
