An application called Candidate Nomination has been created for online submission of nomination forms

Chandigarh, April 21 - To facilitate voters in Haryana, during the 18th Lok Sabha General Elections, the Election Commission of India has launched several mobile apps that are beneficial for both voters and candidates. By using these apps, voters and candidates can easily access the latest information related to elections and find solutions to their problems from the ease of their homes.

According to the Election Commission of India's guidelines, any youth aged 18 or above who wishes to get their vote registered can apply online on https://voters.eci.gov.in/. Similarly, the Election Commission of India has introduced a mobile app called C-Vigil. Through this mobile app, any citizen can send their complaint by taking a photo or video if they notice any violation of the Model Code of Conduct, which will be resolved by the Election Office within 100 minutes.

The Election Commission of India has also created an app named Candidate Nomination for submitting nomination forms online. Any candidate can use this app to submit their application online. It provides the option to deposit the security amount through online payment. Once the application is submitted, candidates can use the app to track the progress of their application. For returning officers, the Commission has prepared software named ‘Encore’ which contains the necessary data of candidates. The Election Commission of India has also created an ‘Affidavit Portal’ where details of a candidate's movable and immovable property, affidavits, can be viewed online.

The Election Commission of India has started a service through the Booth app to digitally identify voters. Voters can download their voter slips by linking the Voter Helpline app to their EPIC card. The Voter Turnout app displays the number of votes cast in proportion to the total population.

Chandigarh, April 21 – Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, who is also the Chairman of the State Committee formed on the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces during elections, said that conducting impartial and transparent elections is the priority of the Election Commission. Accordingly, to ensure fear-free and peaceful voting in the state, besides Haryana Police, companies of Central Armed Police Forces are also being deployed with readiness. So far, 15 companies of Central Armed Police Forces have arrived.

Sh. Agarwal was holding a review meeting with department officers regarding election management.

Information was also provided in the meeting that two companies each of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be deployed for Ambala, Hisar, Sirsa, and Rohtak Lok Sabha constituencies. Similarly, for the Sonipat Lok Sabha constituency, two companies of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will be deployed, and one company each of ITBP will be deployed for Kurukshetra, Karnal, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, Gurgaon, and Faridabad Lok Sabha constituencies. It was also apprised during the meeting that the companies of Central Armed Police Forces will be stationed at the district headquarter

Chief Patron and Chancellor of the University, Prof. B.R. Kamboj, said in his address that the agriculture sector will play a crucial role in making India self-reliant in the coming times. Agriculture has always been the backbone of our economy, providing livelihoods to millions and ensuring food security for our vast population. In recent years, significant progress has been made in this sector to increase productivity, stability, and resilience through agricultural practices and technologies, which will help strengthen our resolve towards growth and self-reliance.

He said that to achieve the perspective and objectives of self-reliant India, the country will have to reduce dependence on imports of products and give more encouragement to local products. There is also a need to think about increasing exports of products. There is a need to attract youth and stakeholders in the agriculture sector as agricultural education can be one of the best roadmaps for self-reliant India as it prepares the foundation for agriculture-based startups. He said that to increase crop production and enhance youth participation in the agriculture sector, there is a need to use modern technologies such as GPS, sensors, drones, and data analytics. Haryana Agricultural University is also playing a leading role in making India self-reliant through research activities, latest technologies, academic activities, and extension work for the welfare of farmers, he added.
