CHANDIGARH,14.04.24-In a discussion session held at the UT Guest House, Chief Election Officer Vijay Namdev Zaid, along with Additional Election Officer Vinay Pratap Singh, AIMES and other representatives of the city's RWAs participated to increase the voting percentage in Chandigarh. Representatives of the RWAs from various sectors of the city, under the leadership of Crawfed Chairman Hitesh Puri, were present. Hitesh Puri stated that four members from each RWA will be appointed to motivate people to vote on the day of voting.
Dr. Anish Garg, mentioned that senior administrative officials of the city and senior vice-chairman Umesh Ghai, Secretary Rajat Malhotra, K L Sachdeva, Rajesh Rai, were also present in this meeting among others.
Rajat Malhotra said that we need to run campaigns in schools and colleges to attract first time voters. Anita Joshi suggested special discounts should be given to voters at all hotels and restaurants in Chandigarh on the voting day. Ranjana Agrawal , Sanjeev Grover, Tarsem Sharma, Jagtar Singh, Supriya Goyal, Raman Seth, Arvind Dubey, Vijay Chakrasal, and Sushil Malhotra were also present at this meeting.
