CHANDIGARH, 05.11.26-The pre-screening competition for IndiaSkills 2026–27, Chandigarh, involving a total of 2,459 candidates across 21 skill trades was successfully completed today at 9 nodal institutions of Technical and Higher Education under the Chandigarh Administration.

The competition was conducted under the valuable guidance and leadership of Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary, Technical Education, Chandigarh Administration, and Dr. Palika Arora, Mission Director, Chandigarh Skill Development Mission.

The Final State-Level Competition for IndiaSkills 2026–27 will be conducted shortly. The winners will be awarded cash prizes of 20,000, ₹15,000 and ₹10,000 for the first, second and third positions, respectively.

The selected winners will further represent Chandigarh at the Regional-Level Competition taking another step towards the National and International Skill Competitions.

This initiative reflects Chandigarh Administration's continued commitment to promoting skill excellence, nurturing young talent and enhancing the employability of youth through industry-relevant skills.
