Chandigarh, 13 September: The Health Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with Mirchia’s Laser Eye Clinic- a unit of Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, organised a Free Eye Check-up Camp for students and staff members of the college. The initiative aimed to promote eye health, encourage preventive eye care, and raise awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations.

The visiting eye-care team, led by Dr Prashant Singla, MBBS, MD (Ophthalmology), and Dr Ruby, Optometrist, conducted comprehensive eye check-ups and sensitised participants about regular eye examinations, early detection of vision problems, laser treatment options, and healthy eye-care practices. Individual guidance and prescriptions were provided to participants diagnosed with refractive errors, dry eyes, eye strain, and headache-related vision concerns. The camp served as a valuable platform for encouraging the college community to prioritise eye health and seek timely professional advice for the prevention and management of vision-related problems. More than 200 students and staff members participated enthusiastically in the camp and availed themselves of eye screening and professional guidance on various vision-related concerns.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the collaborative efforts of the Health Committee and the visiting medical team for organising the camp, which provided accessible eye-care services and valuable health awareness to the college community.
