CHANDIGARH, 06.08.26-The inaugural day of the Literature Fest ‘Galore of Art – Many Stories… One Platform’, the maiden edition of the Vidyā Parvati Memorial Symposium 2026 at Gurukul Global School. The campus transformed into a vibrant hub of imagination, creativity, and self-expression as students immersed themselves in an inspiring journey across the four dynamic domains of the festival—Art & Thought, Theatre, Spoken Word, and Screenplay Writing.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Sh. Vivek Atray (IAS, Retd.), whose words of wisdom inspired young minds to embrace creativity with confidence and purpose. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of School Managing Director Sh Parveen Setya and Directors Mr. Devraj Setya.

The first day featured a series of engaging, hands-on workshops and collaborative activities designed to encourage communication, teamwork, imagination, and confidence. Students enthusiastically participated in interactive ice-breakers, such as passing the ball while sharing unique aspects of their personalities, helping them connect with peers and build confidence.

The Art & Thought session was conducted by Ms. Kavya Atray, Founder of ‘Happiness Through Art’, psychologist, and expressive arts facilitator.

The Theatre workshop was conducted by Mr.Gurmeet, a Theatre artist, a talented actor, writer and director. The session became a stage for confidence and expression as students explored emotions through on-the-spot skits, improvisations, role plays, and dialogue delivery, discovering the power of body language, voice modulation, and character portrayal.

The Spoken Word session was conducted by Ms. Avleen, an accomplished poet, writer, zine maker, and two-time TEDx speaker. Participants reflected on their personalities, discussed ways to become more impactful speakers, and explored techniques to connect meaningfully with an audience.

Aspiring writers stepped into the world of cinema during the Screenplay Writing workshop conducted by Mr. Arindam Mukherjee, an accomplished film director, producer, and screenwriter with over 25 years of experience in the Indian film industry. Students learnt the fundamentals of screenplay structure, scene development, visual storytelling, and character creation.

The atmosphere throughout the day resonated with curiosity, laughter, collaboration, and artistic freedom. Every classroom echoed with conversations, performances, sketches, and stories, making the opening day a memorable celebration of creativity and learning.
