Mahemdergarh, 18.06.26-In a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration, the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Probiota Innovations Private Limited, Mysore, Karnataka, through a virtual ceremony. This is the first research-oriented MoU signed by CUH with a private industry partner for sponsored research activities.

The MoU aims to promote collaborative research in the areas of biotechnology, microbiology, probiotics, nutraceuticals, life sciences, and other fields of mutual interest. Under the collaboration, CUH researchers will undertake foundational research while Probiota Innovations will support further development, validation, and commercialization through project-specific sponsored research initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of CUH Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said, “This partnership marks a significant milestone in CUH’s journey towards industry-linked research and innovation, and we are confident that it will create meaningful opportunities for knowledge generation, technology development, and societal impact.”
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma remarked, “The collaboration reflects the spirit of multidisciplinary research envisioned in NEP 2020 and will help bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application.”

The Registrar Prof. Suneel Kumar stated, “The signing of this MoU demonstrates the University's commitment to creating an enabling ecosystem for sponsored research, innovation, and productive engagement with industry partners.”

Dr. Shrilakshmi Desiraju, Director, Probiota Innovations Private Limited, said, “We are delighted to partner with Central University of Haryana and look forward to combining academic excellence with industry expertise to develop innovative and science-driven solutions in probiotics, nutraceuticals, and allied areas.”

The collaboration is expected to facilitate sponsored research projects, innovation, intellectual property generation, and technology development, further strengthening CUH’s efforts towards translational research and meaningful engagement with industry. Dean Research Prof. Neelam Sangwan proposed vote of thanks. On this occasion, from the CUH Prof. Surender Singh, Director, IQAC; Prof. Vikas Beniwal, Head of the Department of Microbiology; Dr. Santosh C.H., Librarian and Naresh Kumar, Assistant Librarian along with other faculty members and officials, were present. From Probiota Innovations Private Limited, Suresh and Narendra were also present.
