Mahendergarh,20.11.25-The Department of Law at the Central University of Haryana today inaugurated "We the People Week-2025" (November 20–26, 2025) with a Preamble Parade.
The event was graced by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Tankeshwar Kumar, and the Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Pawan Kumar Sharma, as the chief guests. They were warmly welcomed by the fraternity of the Department. PhD scholars, along with
LLM and LLB students, actively participated in the welcome ceremony.
In his address, the Honourable Vice-Chancellor stated that the solutions to the problems of the people of India are embedded within our Constitution, and the active contribution of every citizen is essential for its adherence and protection. He commended the Department of Law for its laudable initiative of celebrating an entire week as 'We the People Week,' going beyond the usual observance in a day. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, in his speech, likened the strength of the Indian Constitution to the diversity of Indian cuisine, where varied flavours unite to create a unique identity, just as the Constitution weaves diversities into a thread to build a strong India. The inauguration culminated with the Vice-Chancellor flagging off the Preamble Parade, which featured the Constitution's text, copies of the Preamble, quotes from its framers, and banners, with students chanting enthusiastic slogans. Dr Pardeep Singh, Head and Dean School of Law said that the Constitution Day is indeed a festival for all of us and Department of Law is committed to celebrate it by organizing a week-long programme which will feature series of events including quiz competition, speech competition, rangoli and poster making, public lectures, a school awareness programme, police station visit, and will conclude with a valedictory ceremony and prize distribution on November 26th, 2025. He urged everyone present to dedicate towards vision and mission of our Constitution of India as aspired by our founding mothers and fathers of our Constitution.
