Chandigarh, 9 November: The Victory Against Drug Abuse (VADA) Club of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with NCC (Naval Wing) and the Department of Physical Education, organised a mind programming session on ‘Drug Abuse and Stress Management among Youth’. The initiative aimed to sensitise students about the harmful effects of substance abuse while promoting positive mental health and holistic well-being.
The session was conducted by Mr. Bhajan Singh, an eminent Mind Healer, who shared practical techniques and insightful guidance on nurturing a healthy, creative, and resilient mind. Through interactive exercises, he demonstrated effective methods of managing stress and overcoming negative influences such as drugs, encouraging participants to adopt a balanced and disciplined lifestyle. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 students and faculty members, making it an impactful and enlightening experience for all.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma lauded the commendable efforts of the organising team for curating a programme of such strong social relevance. She urged the students to stay away from drugs and become torchbearers of a Drug-Free India.
