Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) successfully hosted its Global Alumni Meet 2026, bringing together distinguished alumni, industry leaders, faculty, and students in a celebration of legacy and lifelong bonds. Presided over by Dr. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Director, PEC Chsndigarh

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, said “Artificial Intelligence should contribute not only to economic growth but also to equity and sustainability. Platforms such as the India AI Impact Summit enable collaboration and global exposure for researchers and student innovators”

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma sensitised the participants to the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug addiction. She urged them to adopt healthy habits and serve as role models by motivating others to embrace a drug-free and active lifestyle.

Principal Dr. Ajay Sharma acknowledged the hard work of Dr. Tarundeep Kaur, convener and Dr. Jatinder Kaur and Dr. Rahul Singh, organising secretary, in ensuring the seminar’s success.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor said that such visits play a crucial role in bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world scientific applications.
