* With “Vande Mataram” echoing across the campus, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal urged students to earn while studying and become the flag bearers of Viksit Bharat

The event was attended by Director Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Puneet Chawla, Associate Deans of Student Affairs (ADSA), faculty members, staff, students and their family members.

Mrs. Vineeta Arora, in her address, emphasised the profound responsibility entrusted to the youth in shaping the nation’s future.

Principal Dr. Sapna Nanda extended warm greetings to everyone on the occasion and highlighted the significance of Independence Day.

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma lauded the efforts of the NSS units and VADA Club, and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor, LPU, said, “If we trust an 18 year old to make an important decision about the future of our country, why should we not trust that young person to make informed choices about their own education? We believe in the wisdom, competence, and potential of our students".

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the initiatives of the VADA Club and NSS Units, observing that such activities provide students with constructive avenues for self-expression and personal growth.

Chief Guest Kiran Jain, District 308 Chairman, appreciated the club’s social and environmental initiatives and said that positive change in society is possible only when issues such as health, education, environment and service are connected with public participation.

-Welcoming Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the university is integrating various dimensions of the Indian Knowledge Tradition along with modern science and Artificial Intelligence into education to ensure the holistic development of students

The exhibition was graced by Mrs. Sarla Kant, Principal, SPS, as the Chief Guest.

The programme commenced with an address by Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma, who warmly welcomed the newly inducted volunteers and encouraged them to participate actively in NSS activities.

The Principal, Dr Ajay Sharma appreciated the dedicated efforts of the faculty members who designed and developed the garments, coordinated fittings, and meticulously prepared the models and choreography for the show. The presentation was led by Dr. Sumita Sikka, Head, Department of Fashion Designing, along with faculty members Ms. Tania Sharma and Ms. Dikshita Chauhan

Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the VADA Club for organising the initiative and encouraged the students to remain steadfast in their commitment to a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle.
