An awareness programme on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was organized today at the Community Centre, Indira Colony, Chandigarh, under the guidance of Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chandigarh, Sh. Sunil Kumar.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Ajeet Sidana, Joint Director, GRIID, highlighted the role of yoga in reducing workplace stress and enhancing mental resilience.

The Deputy Commissioner categorically directed that no requests for exemption from Census duty based on certificate issued by Government Medical Board will not be entertained under any circumstances, as the Census process has already started.

At the outset, the Secretary Education, Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS along with the Director School Education, Shri Nitish Singla, PCS and Director Higher|Technical Education, Ms. Palika Arora, PCS presented a comprehensive overview highlighting key achievements, ongoing initiatives, infrastructure development, implementation of NEP 2020 and progress in skill development across schools, colleges and technical institutions.

Out of 2854 students 2776 students were present. In Chandigarh City 06 centres were allotted by NTA.

During the meeting, the Governor urged the singer to join the campaign against drug abuse in the state.
