The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, along with his wife Smt. Anita Kataria, today flagged off the 1st Chandigarh Marathon 2026 at Chandigarh Club, Sector-1, and participated in the 5 km category.

Inaugurating the workshop, Er. C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, U.T. Chandigarh, emphasized the urgent need to reduce dependence on fossil fuels through innovative technologies and collective action. He highlighted Chandigarh’s vision of becoming a carbon-neutral and net-zero city by 2047 and underlined the proactive role of the Energy Management Cell in driving energy conservation and sustainable development initiatives.
