The tournament was formally declared closed by Dr. Atul Dhakne, Additional Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration, who also distributed cash prizes to the winners.

In view of the recent flash floods in Nepal, citizens are requested to inform the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, U.T. Chandigarh, if they have any information regarding a person residing in Chandigarh who may be missing or untraced following the incident.

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, today felicitated 995 promising sportspersons with scholarships worth ₹3.80 crore at the ‘Khiladi Khel Samman Samaroh’ organised by the Sports Department at Tagore Theatre, Sector-18. Scholarships of ₹48,000, ₹42,000 and ₹36,000 were awarded to first, second and third-position holders, respectively.

The 26th meeting of the District Road Safety Committee (DRSC) was held today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS. The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) and representatives of various stakeholder departments, including the Engineering Department, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, Chandigarh Traffic Police, Health Department and other allied agencies.
