During the visit, the Administrator inspected the Japanese Garden, Sector 31, and the Garden of Palms, Sector 42, including the Sector-42 Lake. He reviewed the park facilities and directed the concerned departments to improve the maintenance of walking tracks, benches and fencing, ensure cleanliness, and maintain adequate water levels in the lake.

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, today interacted with the Chandigarh Ice Hockey Teams (Men and Women) at Lok Bhavan, Punjab, following their impressive performance at the Khelo India Winter Games held in Ladakh.

The Administrator appreciated the Chandigarh Senior Citizen Association, established in 1996 under the leadership of former Punjab Chief Secretary late Shri P.H. Vaishnav, for providing free services such as physiotherapy, yoga and health check-ups, along with various social welfare activities.

The Punjab Governor and Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, along with senior officers of the Chandigarh Administration, today held public hearings at the U.T. Secretariat.

Addressing the gathering, the Administrator described mental health challenges as a “silent epidemic” of modern times, particularly affecting children and youth.
