While briefing about mela, Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor said that this fair is attracting farmers from other states as well.

Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor, said that in current scenario, dairy entrepreneurship is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring food security, promoting rural development and improving the socio-economic status of farmers across the Punjab with the increasing demand for milk and milk products.

Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor underscored that Vet Varsity is offering tailored, need-based skill-oriented training programs and courses for encouraging active participation of youth and women in livestock and fisheries sectors for livelihood security and self-reliant socio-economic growth.

Dr. J. P. S. Gill, Vice Chancellor graced the valedictory session and appreciated the efforts of the Centre for One Health in organizing such capacity-building programs.

A Mini Atlas of Laboratory Diagnostics-cum-Table Calendar was released by Dr. J. P. S. Gill, Vice Chancellor, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana.

The Chief Guest, Dr. J. P. S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor, stated that universities have a pivotal role in catalyzing entrepreneurship and called upon all stakeholders to work collectively towards developing solutions for real-world problems.

Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor congratulated and said that small animal emergency and critical care is among the most technically demanding and rapidly advancing specialties in veterinary medicine.

Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor, appreciated the Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education for organizing an impactful training programme and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to empowering farmers through scientific knowledge, skill-based training and technological support.

S. Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Cabinet Minister, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Food Processing inaugurated the meet.

The event was graced by Dr JPS Gill Vice-Chancellor, who lauded the contributions of the alumni in advancing animal health, livestock development, and public health services.

Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor extended his heartfelt best wishes to all participants and expressed hope that the students will continue to bring laurels to the university and the nation, not only in academics but also in sports.

Dr Gill said that the Summit themed “Bridging Science, Policy, and Education,” will serve as an important platform to foster international collaboration, promote joint research initiatives, and develop strategic partnerships aimed at addressing emerging challenges such as zoonotic diseases, food safety, antimicrobial resistance, and sustainable livestock development.
