*Punjab's government is not giving Haryana its rightful share of water, which is meant to quench the thirst of Haryana's people and its fields– Vij*

*The people of Delhi have given their verdict by removing Kejriwal/AAP from power – that is their award – Vij*

Chandigarh, July 10 – Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today launched a scathing attack on Punjab’s Aam Aadmi Party government over the SYL (Sutlej-Yamuna Link) issue. He said that the AAP government of Punjab’s love for Pakistan is leaving Haryana thirsty. He added that the AAP wants Haryana to be denied SYL water, even if it means that the Ravi River's water goes to Pakistan.

Sh. Vij was responding to a question asked by media persons regarding the statement made by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann after a meeting held in Delhi the previous day between the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Punjab on the SYL issue. In that statement, Bhagwant Mann had said that the SYL issue should be permanently given up.

Sh. Vij said that the Punjab government is denying Haryana its rightful share of water, which is crucial for the people and fields of Haryana. He emphasized that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has already decision in favor of Haryana, yet the AAP government in Punjab continues to defy this decision. Sh. Vij reminded that even previous governments in Punjab had annulled this agreement.

Similarly, taking a jab at Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks about receiving an award, Sh. Anil Vij said that in a democracy, the biggest award is given by the people — and the people of Delhi have already given that award by voting Kejriwal and the AAP out of power. Sh. Kejriwal should be content with that, he said.

*“In Bihar, some fake parties and fake leaders are guarding fake voters" – Energy, Transport & Labour Minister Anil Vij*

*"A national policy should be made to allow essential vehicles to pass during protests or rallies" – Anil Vij*

*"INDI alliance does not consider Pappu Yadav worthy enough to sit with them" – Vij*

Chandigarh, July 10 – Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, launched a sharp attack today on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the INDI alliance. He said that as voter verification is taking place in Bihar, some fake parties and fake leaders are protecting fake voters. He also emphasized the need for a national policy to ensure that essential vehicles are allowed to pass during protests and rallies, so that patients and others in need can receive timely treatment.

Sh. Vij was responding to a question asked media personnel regarding Rahul Gandhi’s statement that “we won’t allow the kind of rigging in Bihar that happened in Maharashtra.”

Sh. Vij said that these leaders complain after elections that fake voters should be removed from the lists — so they should actually support the verification process. “Why are they feeling discomfort now? They should be appreciating the government’s efforts,” he added.

Commenting on reports that Pappu Yadav and Kanhaiya Kumar were not allowed to board Rahul Gandhi’s van in Bihar, Sh. Vij took a jibe at the INDI alliance, “Though it’s their internal matter, it seems the INDI alliance doesn’t consider Pappu Yadav capable enough to sit with them, despite the fact that he was once their ally.”

On the incident in Bihar where RJD workers did not allow an ambulance to pass during a protest and even misbehaved with the patient’s family, Sh. Vij reiterated the urgent need for a national policy, “Whether it's a protest or a rally, there must be a mandatory provision to let essential service vehicles pass.”
