Chandigarh Police arrested Yogesh Dutt R/o Sadun Godown, Bhagat Road, Meerut, (UP) age-44 years from Piccadilly Chowk and recovered 18 bottles of English whisky from his possession. A case FIR No. 130, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Later on, accused bailout. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Action against obstruction in public way

Chandigarh Police arrested Niwas R/o # 1659, near Kali Mata Mandir Nayagaon age-52 years while he was obstructing the public way by selling lemon water near in front of shop no 56-57 Sector 15 Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 112 U/S 285 BNS has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later on, accused was bail out. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 94 U/S 147,148,149,341,325,506 IPC has been registered in Police Station Sector 03 Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurbachan Singh, Municipal Councilor of Ward no 04 Naya Gaon Mohali Punjab reported that on 18.02.2024 his son Maninder Singh and his friend Simranpreet Singh were returning to home and they reached near Citco Tower parking main time Maninder Dhillon, Jassan, Aulkash, Aksh Barar, Harpreet Singh@ Happy, Arshdeep Singh Bhau, Jagan Sidhu, Sonu Punia & others unknown person were attacked with deadly weapons to his son and his friend got multiple injuries and were admitted in GMCH-32 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Accident

A Case FIR No 163 U/S 281, 125(a) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh on the complaint of Ram Murti Verma R/o # 428 Hallo Majra Sector 31 Chandigarh against an activa (CH01-BU-7356) rider hit to the complainant wife near power grid on 26.08.2024. Complainant’s wife and activa rider got injuries. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 179 U/S 281,125(A) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh on the complaint of Kunal R/o 1800/B Sector 43/B Chandigarh against Truck (HP-12P-8475) driver who hit the complainant activa No PB-70F-5094 at Sector 35/43 Dividing Road. Later on accused Rahul has been arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.

A Case FIR No 164 U/S 305, 331(3) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-31 Chandigarh on the complaint of Sumit Mahajan R/o # 2365 Sector 48/A Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away two mobile phones from his shop SCO No. 48 Sector-47 Chandigarh on 26.08.2024. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Threatening

A Case FIR No 180 U/S 195/A IPC has been registered in Police Station Sector 36 Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Distt. Rupnagar Punjab against Gaurav Sareen R/o # 163 Urbans Estate, Civil Lines, Batala Punjab who influencing and threatening to the complainant to cancelled FIR against him. Investigation of this case is in progress.
