Chandigarh, 18 December: The last date of Literati 2023 began with the release of the compilation of short stories by 15 children from different schools compiled by Navnoor Rana a student of Learning Path School Mohali with other students from St John's and St. Kabir, which was released by the Mr Ravneet Singh Khurana, IRS, Special Secretary Punjab, Mr Ujwal Singh Rana, Joint Commissioner Taxation Himachal Pradesh, Ms Nutan Budhiraja, Principal of the School, Prof Satish Kumar Verma (regd), from Panjabi University Patiala and Vivek Atray.

The day began with a session on travel writing and had South African writer of Indian origin, Aman Singh Maharaj, and prolific travel writer Neelesh Kulkarni, in conversation with Niharika Bhuwania, who unveiled numerous unknown places in the country that one would like to explore.

Travel writing is about discovering little known facts about any place and writing about it so that others can explore and enjoy it, while Aman Singh talked about his fictional journey that the protagonist undertakes in his book “Daliance with Destiny’ just as Aman wants to visit India and discover its beauty and ethos. Aman informed that though living in South Africa he has travelled to India 18 times to discover new places.

Neelesh shared the enchantment of visiting an unknown place with its ruins and forgotten civilisations, which helps tourists reimagine the kinds of people that would have lived in those places which infuses a soul into that city.

Dr Sumita Misra, an accomplished poet interacted with his fellow writer from Lucknow, a behaviorial scientist, author, poet, quiz master, Chander Shekhar Verma who both explored their journey into the field of writing and explored the nuances of writing in the session on ‘Dil Ki Kalam Se’. They shared the poetry and the stories that touched and elated everyone's hearts.

Bollywood actor Divya Dutta, author of two books, the latest being “Stars in My Sky: in conversation with media consultant Saguna Jain shared her Bollywood journey and especially talked about all those stars who are featured in this book, and how they helped her in her journey in this highly competitive industry.

She also shared the stories and the close bonding that she enjoyed with her mother, having lost her father early, and how she brought her up her first book "Me and Ma" is a tribute to the mother-daughter relationship but Divya Dutt remarked that because of my mother my journey as an actor was so fulfilling.
