Four arrested under NDPS ACT
A Case FIR No. 158 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran on the complaint of L/ASI Harmeet Kaur 2032/CHG against Neelam W/o Ajay, R/o #2369, Mauli Jagran Complex, Chandigarh, aged 34 years. The accused was apprehended from a park near Shani Mandir, Mauli Complex, Chandigarh, on 26-09-2026 at about 03:40 PM, and 10.11 grams of heroin was recovered from her possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 177 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 31 on the complaint of ASI Pawan Kumar 2096/CHG against Ravi @ Mota Rockey S/o Rajbir, R/o #1259, PH-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, aged 28 years. The accused was apprehended from near the park, BSNL Office, PH-2, Industrial Area, Chandigarh, on 26-09-2026 at about 05:25 PM, and 10.15 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 178 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 31 on the complaint of ASI Sagra Brar 1902/CHG against Sagar S/o Arjun, R/o #953, PH-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, aged 35 years. The accused was apprehended from Kushal Park, PH-1, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, on 26-09-2026 at about 04:43 PM, and 10.45 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 170 u/s 22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of L/SI Asha Devi 1280/CHG against Kapil Dev S/o Udaypal, R/o #18, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh, aged 50 years. The accused was apprehended from near Ganda Nala, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh, on 26-09-2026 at about 02:45 AM, and 25 injections of Buprenorphine were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
One arrested under Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 93 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area on the complaint of HC Ravinder Kumar 6341/CP against Abhishek S/o Naresh Kumar, R/o #1483/2, Sec-30B, Chandigarh, aged 24 years. The accused was apprehended from near Railway Division Bar Road, Sec-29C, Chandigarh, on 25-09-2026 at about 10:20 PM, and a Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and sent to police lock-up.
Two arrested consuming liquor at public place
A Case FIR No. 104 u/s 68(1)(b) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station Manimajra on the complaint of ASI Ajit 3110/CP against Vikas S/o Rajender Singh, R/o #347, Barouli Baduli, PO Ganjbarh, District Panipat, Haryana, aged 34 years. The accused was apprehended from near a wine shop at Kala Gram on 26-09-2026 at about 08:05 PM while drinking and creating nuisance at a public place. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
A Case FIR No. 100 u/s 68(1)(b) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station IT Park on the complaint of ASI Hushinder 2053/CHG against Ravinder S/o Sant Ram, R/o #2544, Indira Colony, Manimajra, Chandigarh, aged 38 years. The accused was apprehended from near Kishangarh Chowk on 26-09-2026 at about 01:00 AM while drinking and creating nuisance at a public place. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
One arrested under Gambling Act
A Case FIR No. 101 u/s 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station IT Park on the complaint of HC Rinku Ram 1405/CP against Gurpreet Singh @ Banti S/o Lt. Bhagwan Singh, R/o #23, Kishangarh, Chandigarh, aged 33 years. The accused was apprehended from Lucky Car Bazar, Slip Road, Sastri Nagar, Manimajra, Chandigarh, on 26-09-2026 at about 03:30 PM while playing Dara Satta. ₹3,450/- cash, betting slip and pen were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
One arrested under Excise Act
A Case FIR No. 179 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station 31 on the complaint of HC Anup Singh 2388/CP against Ravinder Kumar @ Tatto S/o Sarwan Kumar, R/o #102, near Gurudwara, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, aged 19 years. The accused was apprehended from Government Toilet near Meat Market, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, on 26-09-2026 at about 07:50 PM, and 85 pouches of Tango Santra liquor, 180 ml each, were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
One arrested in voluntarily Causing Hurt
A Case FIR No. 169 u/s 115(2), 118(2), 126(2), 351(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station 36 on the complaint of Deepak S/o Ram Lal, R/o #143/3, Sec-42C, Attawa, Chandigarh, against Pawan, Ganesh, Rujman and others. The accused allegedly attacked the complainant with a knife near Gurudwara Attawa, Chandigarh, on 26-09-2026 at about 01:11 AM. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GMSH-16. During investigation, the accused were arrested and are in police lock-up.
Cyber Cheating
A Case FIR No. 162 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime on the complaint of Vishnu Chopra S/o Parveen Kumar Chopra, R/o #976, Sec-7, Panchkula, Haryana, against an unknown person. The accused allegedly cheated the complainant of ₹59,906/- by sending a malicious APK file for download. Investigation of the case is in progress.
