Eight (08) persons arrested under NDPS ACT
A Case FIR No. 105 u/s 27 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 11, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of ASI Dalbar Singh 2038/CHG against Happy S/o Bhagwan Dass, R/o Tubewell No. 4, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh, aged 24 years. The accused was apprehended near Shamshan Ghat, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026 at about 1:42 PM. A suspected narcotic substance, aluminium foil paper, a ₹10 currency note and a lighter were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 77 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station S/P UR, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of ASI Ashwin 1888/CHG against Pardeep Kumar @ Pardhan S/o Ram Lochan, R/o #1346/B, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh, aged 25 years. The accused was apprehended on the road from IRB Complex towards NMIMS University on 12-09-2026 at about 5:25 PM. A total of 20.61 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 86 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mani Majra, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of SI Jai Bhagwan 1576/CHG against Kuldeep Singh @ Deep S/o Late Jarnail Singh, R/o #2193/9, Pipli Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, aged 41 years. The accused was apprehended near Gurukul School, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026. During the apprehension, 7.47 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 134 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of Inspector Jaipal Singh 1486/CHG against Anil Kumar Kherwal S/o Harinder Kherwal, R/o #21, Harmilap Nagar, Baltana (PB), aged 33 years. The accused was apprehended from the forest area of Makhan Majra, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026 at about 4:40 PM. A total of 29.70 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. A Case FIR No. 86 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of ASI Hushinder Singh 2053/CHG against Chandan Jha S/o Bicky Jha, R/o Flat No. EWS-110, DLF Valley Urban Complex, Sector 3, Pinjore, Panchkula (HR), aged 21 years, and Vipin Mohan Vohra S/o Manmohan Vohra, R/o Flat No. EWS-104, DLF Valley Urban Complex, Sector 3, Pinjore, Panchkula (HR), aged 37 years. Both accused persons were apprehended near the Community Centre, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh, on 11-09-2026 at about 4:40 PM. A total of 8.65 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession. Both accused were arrested and are in police lock-up.Investigation of the case is in progress.
A Case FIR No. 158 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 31, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of ASI Satnam Singh 2071/CP against Punit @ Merdivan S/o Pale Ram, R/o #1195, Phase-I, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, aged 25 years. The accused was apprehended near Khushal Park, Phase-I, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026 at about 4:45 PM. A total of 11.03 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 153 u/s 22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 36, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of SI Naveen 1070/CHG against Satinder Singh S/o Baljit Singh, R/o Village Gorewahi, Tehsil Bhogpur, District Jalandhar (PB), aged 30 years. The accused was apprehended near D-Park, Sector 52, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026 at about 6:20 PM. A total of 15 injections of Buprenorphine were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
A Case FIR No. 155 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station 39, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of SI Kuldeep Singh 1792/CHG against Anuj Kumar S/o Hansraj Kumar, R/o #112, Room No. 7, Village Palsora, Sector 55, Chandigarh, aged 19 years. The accused was apprehended near Beat Box, Village Palsora, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026 at about 7:50 PM. A total of 32.1 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.

A Case FIR No. 46 u/s 68-1(B) PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station 19, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of HC Pawan Kumar 6367/CP against Ayush Rathor S/o Mahesh Rathor, R/o #1236, Phase-I, Ram Darbar, Chandigarh, aged 23 years. The accused was apprehended near Shop No. 333-334, Sadar Bazar, Sector 19, Chandigarh, while consuming liquor at a public place and creating nuisance on 12-08-2026 at about 9:20 PM. The accused was arrested and subsequently released on bail.
Two arrested under ARMS ACT
A Case FIR No. 135 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of ASI Sukhdev Singh 339/CP against Karanjeet S/o Shri Ram, R/o #228, Mauli Pind, Chandigarh, aged 28 years. The accused was apprehended near the bridge, forest area, Makhan Majra, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026 at about 9:15 PM. One button-operated foldable knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was taken into police custody/lock-up. Investigation of the case is in progress
A Case FIR No. 157 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station 31, Chandigarh on the complaint/report of HC Sandeep Singh 6139/CP against Sachin S/o Narender Prashad Upadhyay, R/o #1503, Deep Complex, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, aged 21 years. The accused was apprehended near Park, Sector 47-B, Chandigarh, on 12-09-2026 at about 7:00 PM. One Kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and is in police lock-up.
ATTEMPT TO MURDER / OBSTRUCTION OF POLICE
A Case FIR No. 152 u/s 109, 121(2), 132, 281, 324 BNS has been registered at Police Station 36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Inspector Pardeep Singh No. 6/PR, Incharge CIA Kharar, District Mohali (PB), against Manish. The police team was tracking Manish at Sector 73, SAS Nagar (Mohali). On reaching the Sector 74/79 dividing road, the team spotted him in Ford Endeavour No. CH-01BN-9595. When the police attempted to apprehend him, he drove away at high speed and was chased up to a petrol pump in Sector 52, Chandigarh. During the attempt to stop him, Manish allegedly intentionally tried to run over ASI Jatinder Singh with his vehicle with the intention to kill him. The vehicle ran over ASI Jatinder Singh's leg, causing injuries, and also damaged the official police vehicle. A pistol was noticed in Manish's car. Inspector Pardeep Singh fired two rounds from his service weapon to stop him, while HC Satram Singh also fired two rounds, one of which hit Manish in the hand. Despite being injured, Manish managed to flee from the spot.
ACCIDENT / HIT AND RUN
A Case FIR No. 141 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station 34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Riyaz Mohd S/o Lt. Ziaudin, R/o #95, Maheshpur, Sector 21, Panchkula (HR), aged 40 years, against Hunar Kaur D/o Gurbakshish Singh, R/o not disclosed. The accused was driving a Santro car bearing registration No. CH-01AC-0665, which allegedly hit the complainant's Honda Shine motorcycle bearing registration No. HR-03Z-5533 near Landmark Hospital, Sector 33, Chandigarh, on 11-09-2026 at about 11:15 AM. The complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to GMCH-32. Investigation of the case is in progress. .
ASSAULT / RIOTING
A Case FIR No. 110 u/s 115(2), 126(2), 351, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady R/o Kishangarh, Chandigarh, against Manoj S/o Sumer Singh, R/o #1093, Kishangarh, Chandigarh, Jyoti and Jeet, both S/o Ram Avtar, R/o #1127, TDI Sector 74-A, Mohali (PB). The accused persons allegedly assaulted the complainant and her son Yashmeet near Snehalaya, Maloya, on 07-09-2026 at about 3:00 PM. Accused Manoj and Jeet were arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
