Chandigarh, July 11: Paramjit Singh Kainth, Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Scheduled Caste Morcha, Punjab, met Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon and presented the draft of the "Punjab Dalit Empowerment Vision 2027."

Paramjit Singh Kainth stated that the Scheduled Caste community constitutes a significant and decisive section of Punjab's population. He said that the time has come to recognize the Dalit community not merely as a vote bank or beneficiaries of government welfare schemes, but as equal partners in policymaking, organizational development, administration, and governance.

He said that the "Punjab Dalit Empowerment Vision 2027" is not merely an election manifesto but a comprehensive policy roadmap for the social dignity, economic empowerment, quality education, skill development, employment, land rights, political representation, and good governance of the Dalit community.

Kainth briefed the State President in detail on the Vision Document's key objectives, strategic pillars, policy reforms, organizational roadmap, 100-day action plan, and implementation framework. He stated that the Vision Document focuses on measurable targets (KPIs), accountability, transparency, and outcome-based governance.

Paramjit Singh Kainth said that despite constitutional guarantees and legal rights, the Dalit community in Punjab continues to face significant social, economic, and political challenges. He emphasized that these challenges cannot be addressed through declarations alone but require clear public policies, strong political will, and effective implementation.

Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon appreciated the initiative and described the preparation of such a policy-based vision document for the holistic development of the Dalit community as a significant effort. He said that the draft would be examined in detail and, after consultations with the party's senior leadership, social organizations, and subject experts, necessary suggestions would be incorporated to further strengthen the document.

Paramjit Singh Kainth further stated that the primary objective of the "Punjab Dalit Empowerment Vision 2027" is to establish the model of "Dialogue to Trust, Trust to Participation, and Participation to Leadership" in Punjab, enabling the Scheduled Caste community to play a decisive role in building a Developed Punjab
