CHANDIGARH June 1, 2026-The Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (ENT-HNS), Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, successfully organised a prestigious International Guest Lecture today, June 1, 2026, at Lecture Theatre-1 (LT-1), PGIMER. The event brought together eminent faculty, clinicians, and postgraduate trainees for an enriching academic morning.

The guest speaker, Dr. Tali Lando, M.D., is a highly accomplished Pediatric Otolaryngologist and Airway Surgeon at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and Westchester Medical Center, Ardsley, New York, USA. She is also the author of the acclaimed book "Surgical Tales from the Brink (and Back)"

The lecture, titled “Twisty Tales of Pediatric Otolaryngology and Lessons Learned,” was held from 8:00 AM to 9:05 AM. Drawing from years of managing complex and high-stakes pediatric airway cases, Dr. Lando took the audience through a series of compelling clinical journeys, highlighting intricate decision-making, surgical challenges, and the critical lessons that continue to shape best practices in pediatric ENT and airway surgery. The session was met with great enthusiasm by the audience and generated lively academic discussion.

Pediatric airway disorders represent one of the most challenging and high-stakes domains in ENT surgery, and an interactive session with a leading expert of Dr. Lando’s calibre offered immense educational value to the department’s residents and faculty alike.

The programme was formally introduced by Prof. Jaimanti Bakshi, Head of the Department, Otorhinolaryngology & HNS, PGIMER followed by the introduction of the speaker by Prof. Anurag S Ramavat. Prof. R.K. Ratho ,Dean Academics, PGIMER graced the event as Chief Guest along with Guests of honour Prof. Sanjay Jain, Dean Research and Dr Ashok Kumar, Medical Superintendent , PGIMER.
