CHANDIGARH,, May 16, 2026-Further to the meeting held yesterday by the Chief Electoral Officer, U.T. Chandigarh, with representatives of various political parties regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR), follow-up action has been initiated to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the exercise across the city.

In this regard, on the directions of the Chief Electoral Officer, U.T. Chandigarh, special camps in connection with the SIR are being organized on 16.05.2026 and 17.05.2026 at all polling stations across Chandigarh to facilitate electors and ensure wider public participation in the revision process.

Political parties have been informed accordingly. In addition, a detailed training session for representatives of political parties by O/o Chief Electoral Officer, U.T., Chandigarh organized on 16.05.2026 regarding IT applications and the schedule & modalities of the SIR process.

The Chandigarh Administration reiterated its commitment to conducting the SIR exercise in a transparent, participative, and smooth manner with the cooperation of all stakeholders.
