One arrested under NDPS Act
A case FIR No. 66 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh against Kavyaj R/o near Hanuman Mandir, Jagatpura, Mohali (PB), who was apprehended near Sports Complex, Sector-56 and found in possession of 12.30 grams of heroin. The accused has been arrested and is in police custody. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested in Fake Number Plate
A case FIR No. 35 u/s 341(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Jitender Singh, who apprehended accused Vicky S/o Bachan Singh R/o near Tobba Sigha Devi Mohali (PB) near Tubewell, Sector-10 using a fake number plate on his motorcycle. The accused has been arrested. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under at Public Drinking
A case FIR No. 44 u/s 68(1)B PP Act & 355 BNS has been registered at Police Station IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of HC Hardeep Kaur 402/CP against Pankaj Girdhar S/o Satpal R/o #144 Village Kishangarh, who was found consuming liquor at a public place near Indira Colony park. The accused was arrested and later released on bail.
One arrested under Arms Act
Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police has been arrested Rinku @ Potali S/o Rajbir R/o #1075 Sector-56, Chandigarh,from his house and found in possession of a desi katta. In this regard a case FIR No. 65 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Murder
A case FIR No. 48 u/s 103(1), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Manresh Pandey S/o #13 Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, against an unknown person, who murdered the complainant’s brother namely Krishan Pandey aged 31 years near Kalagram L/P. The dead body was found in bushes with multiple injuries. No arrest has been made so far.
Theft
A case FIR No. 45 u/s 305(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanchita Jindal R/o #205 Greenwich B, Ground Omaxe, Sector-93/B, Noida (UP) against an unknown person, who stole a brown colour cloth pouch containing 10 gold bangles and one bracelet from her room between 28-04-2026 to 30-04-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 74 u/s 281, 125(A) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Juwalk Kumar S/o Sahajanand Singh R/o #340 near Khera Chowk, Hallomajra, Chandigarh, against Vishal S/o Raja Ram R/o #339/1 Small Flats, Dhanas, who hit the complainant’s father with motorcycle No. CH01-CY-4135 near Poultry Farm Chowk on 02-05-2026. The victim sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital. The accused has been arrested.
