Shri Manish Tewari, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Chandigarh, today flagged off a newly procured ambulance at the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Sector-17, Chandigarh.

Shri Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman, Red Cross, and Shri Amandeep Singh Bhatti, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Red Cross, were also present during the flag-off ceremony. Ms. Punam Malik, Nodal Officer, Red Cross, along with other officials of the Chandigarh Administration, attended the event.

The ambulance has been provided to the Chandigarh Red Cross Society under the MPLAD Scheme. Equipped with Basic Life Support (BLS) facilities, the newly inducted ambulance will significantly strengthen the emergency response and humanitarian services being rendered by the Society in the city. It will be utilized for patient transportation and emergency assistance for the benefit of the general public.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Manish Tewari stated that the ambulance is dedicated to the people of Chandigarh and will remain at their service, particularly during medical emergencies and urgent situations. He expressed confidence that the addition of this vehicle would further enhance healthcare accessibility and support community welfare initiatives.

The Member of Parliament also appreciated the commendable role being played by the Chandigarh Red Cross Society in serving humanity and extending timely assistance to those in need.
