Jalandhar, 16.04.26-; Blending culinary artistry with evolving industry insights, Lovely Professional University’s (LPU) School of Hotel Management and Tourism hosted “Ann Utsav 2026”. The seasoned chefs and aspiring professionals came together to exchange ideas, experiment with flavours, and explore how the world of hospitality is rapidly expanding beyond the boundaries of the kitchen.

The conclave featured engaging masterclasses wherein Chef Sanjay Agarwal conducted a session on millet-based salads, focusing on health and sustainability, while Chef Prem Ram displayed the richness of traditional cuisine from Uttarakhand. A fruit carving workshop by Chef Javaid drew significant attention, where intricate designs such as “I Love LPU” and a detailed watermelon portrait of Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, reflected exceptional precision and artistry. Under the guidance of these expert chefs, students not only observed but actively engaged in the processes, gaining hands-on learning and refining their culinary techniques.

.Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro Chancellor of LPU, stated that culinary hospitality is a refined art that cannot be mastered through theory alone. Dr. Mittal said that meaningful learning emerges from rigorous practice and real world exposure, and affirmed that LPU has consciously built an ecosystem that prioritizes hands-on training through workshops, live demonstrations, and industry engagement, ensuring students graduate as confident and industry ready professionals.

At LPU, hotel management education extends beyond classrooms with a clear focus on experiential learning.
