Chandigarh, 22 March:The Eco-Club ‘Parivesh’ of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women organised a thought-provoking nukkad natak to mark the occasion of International Day of Forests. The event, held under the aegis of MCM Vigyan Manch, was sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration.
A total of 14 enthusiastic participants presented an engaging street play that vividly highlighted pressing environmental issues such as deforestation, climate change, and loss of biodiversity. Through powerful dialogues, expressive performances, and creative storytelling, the students effectively sensitised the audience to the urgent need for forest conservation and environmental sustainability. The impactful presentation successfully conveyed the message of shared responsibility in protecting natural resources and adopting sustainable practices.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma lauded the commendable efforts of the Eco-Club members. She appreciated the students for their meaningful performance and for spreading awareness on such a critical global issue through an engaging medium.
