CHANDIGARH, 20.03.26-Colonel Gursewak Singh, President of Residents Welfare Association (RWA) MHC Sector-13, has written to SSP Chandigarh, Ms Kanwardeep Kaur, highlighting the surge in crime cases. Incidents of theft, snatching, and loitering by suspicious individuals have increased. A recent case involved armed individuals waylaying a resident near an unmanned Beat Box.
Unauthorized parking on main roads and in residential areas is causing accidents and security concerns. To improve security, the President suggests:
- Round-the-clock manning of Police Beat Box
- Intensive day and night patrolling
- Strict action against unauthorized parking
- Deploying more police personnel for visible presence
The letter urges prompt action to address these concerns.
