MAHENDERGARH, 13.03.26-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, will organise its 12th Convocation on Saturday, March 14, to celebrate the academic achievements of its students.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar informed that the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and deliver the Convocation Address to the students. The Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Sheel Nagu, and Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, will be the Guests of Honour of the convocation.
Justice Sanjay Vashisth, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Justice S.N. Shekhawat Punjab & Haryana High Court, Justice Chandra Shekhar, Registrar General, Punjab & Haryana High Court and Justice Narender Sura, District and Session Judge, Narnaul, will also grace this occasion.
A rehearsal for the 12th Convocation Ceremony was held on Friday, during which all preparations were finalized. All Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students of the University participated in the rehearsal programme.
The University will honour students who have completed their Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. degree successfully of the current academic session. A total of 1,462 students will receive their degrees during the convocation.
Vice Chancellor said that 827 students will be awarded Master’s degrees, 557 students will receive Bachelor’s degrees, and 78 scholars will be conferred PhD degrees. The University will also recognize outstanding academic performance by awarding gold medals to 50 students. The Vice Chancellor said that out of the 50 gold medalists, 30 are female students and 20 are male students. Among the PhD recipients, 40 are female scholars, and 38 are male scholars. It reflects the increasing participation of women in higher education and research.
