Chandigarh, March 9:Rotary Club of Chandigarh, which was chartered on 10th May 1958, has grown with the city and has kept pace in extending the Rotary to newer areas by sponsoring various Rotary clubs in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula. This is the 16th Rotary club in the Tricity area, informed Rotary Club Chandigarh President Abha Joshi Sharma.
Rotary Club of Chandigarh has extended the Rotary footprint in the city with the presentation of the Charter from Rotary International to Rotary Chandigarh Mountview here today. This has been fruitful after the untiring efforts of Past Rotary International President Raja Saboo.
District Governor Ravi Prakash on his official visit to Rotary Club Chandigarh presented the charter to the new club president, Rtn Dr Ruchit Uppal on this occasion.
Congratulating the new club, DG Ravi Prakash said that Rotary requires more and more good people who are ready to invest their time to identify
community needs and join hands with other Rotarians to extend the helping hands to do good in the society and transform lives.
DG Ravi Prakash accompanied by his spouse Shalini, went around the city to inspect various projects undertaken by the Club during the year and visited "ASHNEER" Human Milk Bank in Mohali, established by her club in January 2025,also told Abha Sharma. The DG Ravi Parkash also attended a Blood donation camp jointly organized by Rotary club Chandigarh , UICET and Enactus NGO.Commemorating womens day , Sewing Machines were distributed to 14 women at the Community Centre, Sector 42.
