One arrested under NDPS
A case FIR No. 10 u/s 18, 22, 27-A and 29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-49 on the complaint of Tara Chand, Welfare Officer, Model Jail, Burail, Sector-51, Chandigarh, against Abhishek Kumar R/o Rajiv Colony, Sector-17, Panchkula, Haryana, aged 22 years, and Sachin Bharadwaj (prisoner in Model Jail, Burail) S/o Lalji Bharadwaj R/o #230, Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, aged 27 years, who were apprehended from Model Jail, Burail, on 14-02-2026 at about 1:02 pm, and 12 loose tablets and 24 bananas were recovered from their possession. Accused Abhishek Kumar is in police lock-up and Sachin Bharadwaj is lodged in Model Jail, Burail.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 24 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime on the complaint of Narender Ahlawat R/o Sector-44, Chandigarh, alleging that an unknown person cheated him of ₹40,700 (US Dollar) on the pretext of investment.
A case FIR No. 25 u/s 318(4), 319(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 61(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station Cyber Crime on the complaint of Amarpal Singh Gujral R/o Sector-40/A, Chandigarh, alleging that an unknown person cheated him of ₹7,75,022 through hacking.
A case FIR No. 23 u/s 420, 120-B IPC and 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-17 on the complaint of Dinesh Malik R/o Rohtak Road, against Anubhav Garg @ Anshu and others of White Horse Immigration, SCO No. 60-61, 2nd Floor, Sector-17/D, Chandigarh, alleging that they cheated the complainant of ₹9,10,000 on the pretext of providing a work visa abroad.
A case FIR No. 24 u/s 420, 120-B IPC and 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-17 on the complaint of Partap Singh R/o Bahadur Fakiran, District Patiala, Punjab, against Anubhav Garg @ Anshu and others of White Horse Immigration, SCO No. 60-61, 2nd Floor, Sector-17/D, Chandigarh, alleging that they cheated the complainant of ₹15,90,000 on the pretext of providing a work visa abroad.
A case FIR No. 25 u/s 318(4), 61(2) BNS and 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-17 on the complaint of Amandeep Kaur R/o #66 Panchkula, Haryana, against Narinder Singh, owner/director of M/s New Path Overseas, SCO No. 64-65, 4th Floor, Sector-17/A, Chandigarh and others, alleging that they cheated the complainant of ₹3,39,550 on the pretext of providing a work visa abroad.
A case FIR No. 26 u/s 318(4), 61(2) BNS and 24 Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of a woman R/o Sector-41/D, Chandigarh, against Monika Rehal, Paramjit Singh and others, owners of Rehal Consultants, SCO No. 73, 4th Floor, Sector-17/D, Chandigarh, alleging that they cheated the complainant of ₹6,00,000 on the pretext of providing a study visa abroad.
Accident
A case FIR No. 30 u/s 281, 106(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area, on the complaint of Ravi Shanker R/o Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh, alleging that the driver of an unknown car hit his brother’s Pulsar motorcycle No. CH-01AV-5236 near Plot No. 141-142, Phase-1, Industrial Area, on 09-02-2026 at about 11:00 pm, as a result of which his brother Bablu S/o Lalu Parshad R/o #1079/C, Small Flats, Dhanas, Chandigarh, was injured and later expired during treatment at GMCH-32.
Theft
A case FIR No. 19 u/s 303 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36 on the complaint of Naveen Kumar Shrivastav, Chief Executive Officer, Paryavaran Bhawan, Madhya Marg, Sector-19B, Chandigarh, alleging that an unknown person stole away EV car charger machines from Sector-43/B and Sector-35B (Himalayan Marg) on 28-09-2025. Investigation of the case is in progress.
