CHANDIGARH, 28.01.26-St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, marked the 77th Republic Day of India with dignity, devotion and deep constitutional consciousness as educators came together to celebrate the spirit of democracy and reaffirm their role as nation builders.
Wrapped in the colours of patriotism and echoing with pride, the school campus witnessed a meaningful Republic Day celebration where teachers stood not just as participants, but as torchbearers of India’s democratic values. The event served as a powerful reminder that while the Constitution was framed in the halls of Parliament, it is kept alive every day in classrooms across the nation.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Vice Principal and School Coordinators, symbolising unity, leadership and collective responsibility. As the Tricolour fluttered against the sky, the atmosphere was filled with reverence and emotion, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem by the teachers.
A deeply moving segment of the programme was poetry recitation, where teachers presented powerful verses woven around the values of the Indian Constitution—liberty, equality, justice, fraternity, democratic freedom, and moral responsibility. Through poetry, teachers voiced the conscience of the nation, reminding all present that constitutional values must be lived, not just learned.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Ms. Monika Chawla delivered an inspiring address that resonated deeply with the audience. She began by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their unwavering dedication and commitment.
“I sincerely thank our aspiring and dedicated teachers for their invaluable contribution not only in academics but also in shaping character, values and vision. Your influence goes far beyond textbooks,” she said.
The Republic Day celebration concluded with a renewed pledge by the teachers to uphold the ideals of the Constitution and continue working with dedication, compassion, and moral courage for the betterment of society and the nation.
