Ludhiana 24 January 2026-Rijul Sharma, a BVSc & AH student at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University has qualified to compete in Collage making event at National Inter-University Youth Festival that is scheduled to be held at Sathyabhama University, Chennai from 10th to 14th March 2026. While honouring the winners in his office, Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor, GADVASU complemented the team on bringing laurels to the University at State, Zonal and National levels with their untiring efforts and hard-work.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Assistant Director Publications and Welfare Officer, GADVASU said that Rijul is among the 60 member contingent that recently participated in the 39th AIU Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival 2025 held at Chitkara University, Rajpura.
Dr. Daljeet Kaur and Dr. S S Hassan, Assistant Professors, who led GADVASU Contingent informed that the students won six positions and participated in fifteen events pertaining to Dance, Theatre, Music, Literary and Fine Arts.
Rijul won third position in Collage Making whereas Khushneet Kaur got two fifth positions in Elocution (English) and Debate (English). Jeet Verma stood fifth in Debate (English). Ishnoor Kaur won fifth position in Clay Modelling while Puneet Rehaan got fifth place in Poster making. The One Act Play Team of College of Veterinary Science and College of Animal Biotechnology got fifth position.
Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Assistant Director Publications and Welfare Officer mentioned that GADVASU contingent competed with over 1000 students from 21 universities from North India.
Dr. Rabinder Singh Aulakh, Director Students’ Welfare, GADVASU said such platforms provide opportunities for overall personality development of students apart from academic excellence.
