Chandigarh, January 16: The massive political rally organised recently by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Punjab on the occasion of Maghi has clearly indicated that the state’s politics is now moving towards a new and positive transformation. This rally was not merely a political event, but a strong message towards the social, economic, and ideological reconstruction of Punjab.
Paramjit Singh Kainth, Vice President, BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha, Punjab, in a statement issued to the press. He said that the participation of all sections of society—especially Scheduled Castes, youth, farmers, labourers, and marginalised groups—demonstrates that the people of Punjab now want to move beyond traditional politics and embrace politics based on development, good governance, and equal opportunities.
BJP leader Kainth stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party believes not only in announcements but in concrete policies and effective implementation for the empowerment of the Scheduled Caste community. Ensuring that the actual benefits of central government schemes related to education, self-employment, social security, and dignified living reach the Scheduled Caste community remains a priority for the BJP. He further said that the Scheduled Caste community in Punjab has long been deprived of genuine social justice and fair access to economic opportunities. To change this situation, the BJP will strengthen its organisation at the grassroots level, promote local leadership, and establish continuous dialogue with society.
Kainth, State Vice President of the Scheduled Caste Morcha, Punjab, expressed confidence that the recent rally has generated new enthusiasm and a clear sense of direction among party workers. In the coming times, the Bharatiya Janata Party will emerge as a responsible, credible, and development-oriented alternative in Punjab politics.
