*“Energy Minister Anil Vij’s jibe at Kharge’s statement on MGNREGA – Congress is troubled by the name ‘Ram’; protests are being staged just to keep party workers busy”*
Responding to a question regarding Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge’s warning of protests over the renaming of MGNREGA, Sh. Vij said that Congress is now idle, having lost everywhere, and therefore has to give its workers some program or the other to keep them busy. He said, what problem do they have with renaming it? The problem is that the name of Lord Ram has been added, and that troubles them. Congress has had a problem with Lord Ram from day one. When the Ram Temple was being built, they were troubled; now that it has been built, they are troubled; now devotees are visiting the temple, and again they are troubled. Their problem is with Ram and Lord Ram.
*“Prithviraj Chavan is a traitor to the nation; a case should be registered against him; his language sounds Pakistani; an inquiry should be conducted into whom he is in contact with” – Vij*
Reacting sharply to the statement made by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan that not a single Rafale aircraft flew in Operation Sindoor, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that Prithviraj Chavan is a traitor to the country who is insulting our brave soldiers, for which he has no right. A case should be registered against him to determine how he has knowledge of confidential intelligence matters and with whom he is coordinating. Sh.Vij said that the language he is using cannot be that of an Indian; it appears as if he is speaking at the behest of someone from Pakistan. An investigation should also be conducted to find out which Pakistani individuals he is in contact with.

“Panipat Electric Bus Depot ready for full-capacity operations; to become operational within the next three months” – Energy Minister Sh. Anil Vij
“Out of 50 buses allocated to Panipat, 15 electric buses have already been made available to the Panipat depot; the remaining electric buses will be provided within the next three months” – Anil Vij
“The government is working towards setting up charging stations” – Vij
“Advice to electric vehicle manufacturing companies: establish well-equipped charging stations at various locations across the country” – Vij
Chandigarh, 19 December – Haryana’s Energy Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the Panipat Electric Bus Depot is fully prepared for operating buses at full capacity and will be made operational within the next three months. He further said that out of the 50 buses allocated to Panipat, 15 electric buses have already been provided to the Panipat depot, and the remaining electric buses will also be made available within the next three months.
Sh. Vij was responding today to a question during the ongoing Winter Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh. The Transport Minister said that to control heavy traffic congestion in Panipat city, the government has introduced electric buses, and under this initiative, a charging station has also been constructed.
Sh. Vij said that the Haryana Government is working in a technically advanced manner and in accordance with the needs of the time. He added that the government also wants to include as many electric buses as possible in its fleet; however, this requires certain infrastructural arrangements. While electric cars and buses are now available, charging stations are still inadequate as per the requirement.
He informed that recently, representatives of electric vehicle manufacturing companies from across the country met him, during which it was stated that until a sufficient number of charging stations are installed, electric vehicles cannot be fully viable. The representatives suggested installing chargers for home charging, but Sh. Vij pointed out that if a person has traveled to Shimla, he cannot return home just to charge the vehicle. Therefore, charging stations must be set up at multiple locations. He further said that if charging stations are set up only at petrol pumps, a family has to wait there for about two hours, raising the question of what the family would do during that time, especially when facilities such as toilets, rest areas, and refreshments are often not available.
The Transport Minister said that he advised vehicle manufacturing companies to establish charging stations across the country equipped with facilities such as charging points, toilets, and restaurants, so that families can also make use of these amenities while their vehicles are being charged. The representatives of the vehicle manufacturing companies appreciated this suggestion.
He added that the government is also setting up charging stations, and the Energy Department has been designated as the nodal agency to install charging stations at various locations, ensuring that electric vehicle users do not face difficulties in charging their vehicles.

Digital screens will be installed at bus stands to provide information on bus movement; passengers will get access to bus location details – Vij
Chandigarh, 19 December – Haryana Transport Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that along with the automatic ticketing system in state transport buses, a tracking system and a mobile application are also being developed to provide accurate and convenient travel information to passengers.
He said that all buses operating on the Fatehabad–Hisar local route stop at the Bhoda–Hoshank and Khara khedi village bus stops and make 66 trips daily, and that tickets are properly punched and recorded for passengers.
Sh. Vij was responding to a question raised during the ongoing Winter Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh today. He said that an automatic ticketing system has been installed in buses and is being further upgraded so that passengers can also purchase tickets through Paytm/cards etc. ensuring complete digital records.
The Transport Minister said that practically, it is very difficult to manually monitor bus arrivals and departures at bus stands. Therefore, he has ordered the installation of tracking systems in buses, a significant portion of which has already been completed. This will enable real-time tracking similar to flight information at airports, allowing people to know which bus is at which location and at what time. Digital screens will also be installed at bus stands to display this information so that passengers can get details about specific buses.
Providing details about the mobile app for bus information, Sh. Vij said that an app has been developed to provide bus-related information, but due to certain shortcomings, it has been sent back for redevelopment. Through this app, any passenger will be able to see how far away their bus is. Additionally, the department will also be able to monitor bus routes and bus locations to ensure that buses are operating on the designated routes.

Targeting the opposition, Sh. Vij said that ‘Vande Mataram’ was never given the place it deserved. He alleged that at the insistence of Jinnah, the Congress “cut off two parts” of ‘Vande Mataram’, whereas no one has ever altered the Gita, Ramayana, or the Quran.
He said that “we salute Vande Mataram, bow before it, and offer flowers to it,” but alleged that the opposition (Congress), by distorting ‘Vande Mataram’, laid the foundation for dividing the country because they bowed before a few people. Taking a sharp dig at the opposition, he said that the sanctity of ‘Vande Mataram’ was violated, and while certain viewpoints may have their own place, they should not have been linked with ‘Vande Mataram’.
