Chandigarh, December 2:- Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh accompanied by concerned officials of the Municipal Corporation and Ward No. 8 Councillor Sh. Harjeet Singh, conducted an extensive visit to Mauli Jagran & Makhan Majra to take stock of ongoing development works and address pending issues of the area.

During the inspection, Councillor Harjeet Singh briefed the Commissioner about various long-pending works in the ward. He highlighted the condition of the dirty drain and requested its concrete construction. He also pointed out two to three internal streets in Mauli Jagran that remain incomplete.

In Raipur Kalan, the demand for a new tubewell and a park was raised, along with the requirement of CCTV cameras for all three villages of Ward No. 8. A request for another new tubewell for Raipur Khurd was also placed.

In Makhan Majra, the need for installing paver blocks on the Firni Road and strengthening the road leading to the cremation ground was discussed. Additionally, the Councillor requested the opening of a facilitation centre in Mauli Jagran for residents’ convenience.

The Commissioner carefully listened to all concerns raised by the Councillor and village residents. He directed the officials to expedite all pending development works in Ward No. 8 at the earliest.
