CHANDIGARH, 02.11.25-The Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, hosted the 17th Asia-Pacific Environmental and Occupational Dermatology Group (APEOD) Conference 2025, held jointly with the 15th National Conference of the Contact and Occupational Dermatoses Forum of India (CODFICON) from October 31 to November 2. The three-day event, organized in collaboration with the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group (ICDRG), brought together leading dermatologists from India and abroad to discuss the latest advances in contact dermatitis, patch testing, and environmental and occupational skin diseases.
The conference was steered by an accomplished organizing team comprising Prof. Sanjeev Handa (President), Prof. Dipankar De (Scientific Chairperson), Dr. Rahul Mahajan (Organizing Secretary) and Dr. Vinod Kumar (Joint Secretary).
Interactive scientific sessions included a hands-on workshop on patch testing, debates and quizzes for postgraduate students, and paper and e-poster presentations, giving young dermatologists a platform to showcase their research to an international audience.
Among the highlights were the Dr. A.K. Bajaj Memorial Oration delivered by Dr Sanjay Ghosh and the conferment of the Dr. J.S. Pasricha Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr Kaushal Verma, honouring their distinguished contributions to the field of dermatology.
