मुख्यमंत्री 24 को बड़सर में करेंगे करोड़ों के उदघाटन-शिलान्यास

हमीरपुर 23 अक्तूबर। मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू 24 अक्तूबर को बड़सर का दौरा करेंगे।
प्रवास कार्यक्रम के अनुसार मुख्यमंत्री 24 अक्तूबर को सुबह करीब 11ः25 बजे बुंबलू पहुंचेंगे और हैलीपैड का विधिवत उदघाटन करेंगे। इसके तुरंत बाद वह बड़सर के लिए रवाना होंगे।
बड़सर में वह नवनिर्मित मिनी सचिवालय का उदघाटन करेंगे। यहीं पर ही वह स्वास्थ्य उपकेंद्र बणी के भवन का उदघाटन और मान खड्ड पर बनने वाले चैक डैम तथा धनेटा-बड़सर सड़क के सुदृढ़ीकरण कार्य का शिलान्यास भी करेंगे। मिनी सचिवालय परिसर में ही मुख्यमंत्री जनसभा को भी संबोधित करेंगे। मुख्यमंत्री दोपहर बाद बुंबलू हैलीपैड से शिमला लौट जाएंगे।

CM directs to prepare online portal for registration of Home Stay units

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, while presiding over a meeting to review the tourism projects in the State here today, directed to prepare an online portal for registration of Home Stay units within ten days and also directed to issue tenders for hiring competent software firms for preparation of user friendly online portals across all departments.

The Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that payments in all the HPTDC hotels, GAD guesthouses and rest houses of various departments, including food bills payments, be made online.

He issued directions for empanelling professional architects both for preparation of projects designs for ADB and Tourism Development Board Projects and the same should be advertised within ten days as well.

"I want to ensure that there should be no administrative limitations as far as promotion of the tourism industry is concerned and the procedures to be made more simplified for ease of doing business," stated the Chief Minister.

Sh. Sukhu also suggested making few changes in proposed rules of the Tourism Investment Promotion Council (TIPC), which was discussed at length. It was also discussed in the meeting that the hotels under construction will also be considered in the TIPC.

The Chief Minister desired to expedite the process of operation and maintenance of loss making HPTDC units to felicitate tourists.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta, Principal Secretary Devesh Kumar, Director Tourism Vivek Bhatia, OSD to the Chief Minister Gopal Sharma and other senior officers were present in the meeting amongst others.

Government digitises PWD rest house bookings to benefit common masses: CM

To benefit the common man, the State Government has taken a leap forward making all the booking of the PWD Rest Houses (RH) online and confirming and conveying the same immediately to avoid any inconvenience to the common man.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today here said that the bookings in the PWD rest houses were not easily accessible to the common man earlier but since he took over as the Chief Minister, a decision was taken in the first meeting that all the rest houses would be made online benefitting people. Prior to June 2025, the bookings of rest houses of PWD were done offline but since June 2025, the bookings were made online for all RH's.

People will now get immediate messages on their phones or e-mail regarding confirmation of rooms, with room number mentioned. The system has also ensured accountability and transparency besides revenue generation, said Sh. Sukhu.

It was a step towards 'Vyastha Parivartan', stated the Chief Minister, adding that the entire official machinery would be made digital in future so that the people could get benefits near to their homes without visiting government offices to get their work done.

Secretary PWD Abhishek Jain said that the PWD rest houses had earned a revenue of rupees two crore in four months, from June till 10th October, even though the State was reeling under disaster.

He said that bookings were now being done on 'first come first serve basis' and the same was being confirmed immediately. Since June this year, over 276 rest houses and 1000 rooms were being made available daily through online mode to the people on 50 percent advance basis, which is Rs. 250 per himachali and Rs. 500 for non himachali.

After this initiative the bookings of rest houses have increased substantially. Naming few, Sh. Jain said that the occupancy before online mode for Hamirpur RH was 62 percent, which after online booking has increased to 85 percent. Similarly, in Tara Devi PWD Rest House, the booking has increased from 30 percent as earlier to 50 percent as of now, Dharamshala rest house online booking has increased from 50 to 75 percent and bookings in Ghumarwin RH has increased from 30 to 66 percent. The online booking has benefited the common man and has resulted in substantial increase in revenue of the government as well, he said.

Jain stated that he himself has been visiting the PWD rest houses and has ensured that the upkeep and maintenance is being done on a regular basis besides ensuring quality food to the visitors.
