Prof. Sharma addressed the common belief that arthritis is a single type of disease, affecting only the elderly with joint pain. He clarified this perception as a "misnomer," highlighting conditions such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). , in which arthritis is a common symptom, affects 90% of young female patients, thus affecting women in their most productive years,” he stated.

Touching upon the topic of osteoporosis, Prof. Sharma explained that after menopause, the chance of developing the condition increases, which in turn raises the risk of fractures. He noted that common findings like hip fractures after minor falls are highly preventable with timely diagnosis and are very treatable.

Prof. Sharma concluded the session by emphasizing the central role of women in the family. “Women are the pillar of the family and any decline in their health will ultimately lead to a decline in the health of the family,” he said. He reinforced the honourable Prime Minister campaign's mission by stating that the nationwide initiative is aptly named "Swasth Naari, Sashakt Parivar," which translates to "Healthy Woman, Empowered Family."
